¡Solo por segunda vez en la historia!: El Oscar a mejor director fue para una mujer

Mientras todo Chile esperaba ansioso por la opción de ganar una estatuilla de la mano de Maite Alberdi y Sergio Chamy con “El Agente Topo”, una mujer hacía historia. Y de la grande.
Chloé Zao, una joven mujer china de 39 años, se convirtió en la segunda mujer en las 93 ceremonias de los Oscar en ganar una estatuilla como mejor directora.
La primera había sido Kathryn Bigelow en 2009 por “The Hurt Locker”.
Y no solo eso, su aclamada cinta, “Nomadland” fue también escogida como “Mejor Película”. Además, también se llevó el Oscar a Mejor Actriz, con la tremenda actuación de su protagonista, Frances McDormand.
Es decir, “Nomadland” se llevó tres de los cuatro premios más importantes de la ceremonia.
En tanto, el legendario Anthony Hopkins a sus 83 años se llevó el segundo Oscar de su extensa carrera por “The Father”, superando al favorito y fallecido Chadwick Boseman.
Por si no te enteraste, “El Agente Topo” no pudo dar la sorpresa y el Mejor Documental fue “My Octopus Teacher”, de Pippa Ehrlich y James Reed.
